Absolutely! Whether you’re using Photon, or another popular networking solution like Unity Networking, Mirror, or even a custom-built networking system, TournamentSDK can seamlessly integrate with your existing infrastructure. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive tournament solution that enhances your game’s competitive experience, regardless of the networking solution you choose.
In general, studios are often able to host their first testing tournament using our template UI within one day.
Once you have successfully implemented the basic functionality, the next step is to customize the UI to align with your game’s aesthetics and branding. Additionally, you may choose to connect your in-game economy and stats to the tournament system to provide a more immersive and integrated experience for your players.
The time required for these additional customizations and integrations will depend on the scope and complexity of your game. However, our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support throughout the integration journey, including technical assistance, product planning, and UI consultancy. We are here to ensure a smooth and efficient integration process, helping you to create the best tournament experience tailored to your game.
Yes, we are here to help you during your whole tournament journey. Apart from technical support from our integration specialists we are more than happy to share with you the best practises on game economy and UX to maximize the benefit of tournament integration.
If your game’s player base increases, our services will automatically scale up to accommodate the higher number of players. And the best part is, you will only be charged based on the CCU, ensuring that you pay for the resources you actually use.
Similarly, if you experience a decrease in your player base due to seasonality or other reasons, you will be charged less as our services scale down accordingly. This flexible billing model allows you to adapt to changes in your player base without any extra burden on your budget.
There is no limit to the number of tournaments you can run. For the regular subscription, there is a limit of 16,000 players in one tournament. However, for enterprise clients, the limit is tailored to your player base size, so you can host tournaments for any number of players.
No, your players will not be aware that you are using our TournamentSDK. Our SDK is fully white-label, meaning you can customize it to align with your game’s branding and user experience. You have complete control over the visual elements, user interface, and overall design of the tournament features.
CCU (the number of concurrent users in your game) is defined by the sum of peaks for all regions. Sample Month: EU peak 420 CCU, US peak 230 CCU, Other regions 0 CCU — CCU total = 420 + 230 = 650CCU.
We currently only support integration with Unity and Unreal.
If you are interested in using TournamentSDK with your custom game engine, we encourage you to reach out to us. Our team will consider the possibility of creating a custom extension or integration that fits your specific needs.
For members of the Photon Gaming Circle, TournamentSDK is available for free during the development phase. This means that as a member, you can fully utilize the SDK to enhance your game’s competitive experience without any additional costs.
For non-members, TournamentSDK is available at a price starting from $490 per month. This pricing includes access to all the features and benefits of our tournament solution, allowing you to engage and retain your players through native real-time tournaments.
One subscription is for one studio and is not limited to the number of games you have. You will be charged based on the CCU (Concurrent User) sum from all your games. This means that you can host tournaments for all your games under one subscription, making it convenient and cost-effective for you.
We value the creativity and passion that goes into creating compelling games. While we don’t have a specific discounted plan for indie developers, we do review games on a case-by-case basis.
